My First Lady, My second chance...

20121203-203036.jpg
I finally have my dream MCM first lady bag in Aqua blue that I first saw in Spring Summer 2011 (SS11) and it is now back for Autumn Winter 2012 (AW12) in a new style. I first laid eyes back in Spring Summer 2011..the First Lady blue shoulder bag sitting in the window of their flagship store in Sloane Street. It was the last one...I had to make a decision. I decided to think about it, and before you know it...it was sold! I spent a whole year trying to find the First Lady should bag in that shade of blue...but it was out of season.
I was very bitter and full of regret, BUT...
the new MCM boutique opened in Harrods and saw the First Lady in the original aqua blue!!!! I had a panic attack fearing I must buy it now before it goes again!!!! There was only 3 in stock, whipped out my debit card and it is all mine. The lady was very generous and gave me a free gift with purchase: the classic cognac Viseto Ipad clutch/case. The bag is so beautiful I can not take my eyes off it.
Thanks for reading my post,

Kurt Geiger Lexi studded kicks

20120822-175545.jpg
These new trendy trainers are from Kurt Geiger, very similar to the Ash wedged trainers that can set you to £200. But these set you only £85, and the rose gold studs along the front just didn't allow me to walk by without buying them. So I had to make the final decision as it comes in 3 colours, black with silver, wineberry with gold and beige on rose gold. I quickly snapped up my pair in Harrods and if you are to get yourself a pair; watch out for the 10% off weekend in Harrods this coming weekend 3rd and 4th November 2012!!!!
I feared that the beige will get dirty easily, but it is so sexy! I only pull them out in the summer with 3/4 joggers. The winter is risky, so I would opt for the wineberry and black pair. From what I have asked, the shops only stock a couple of sizes each for the day so you can be left disappointed.
Do you fear clashing with others? Don't because the 5 times i have worn them, I haven't seen anyone in it and if anything; everyone is staring at your kicks to give you the thumbs up!
I Needed a reason to leave the house to wear them, so decided to give it a test drive to my local supermarket Asda. Couldn't resist checking myself out on the reflection and it looks so good! Love love them.

The Young, Broke and Spending on Luxury

The Millennials: The Broke twenty somethings spending on luxury born between 1980 – 2000 makes up the 3% of the spenders in the luxury market. They have out-paced baby boomers (of 14%), increasing their luxury spend of 33% in 2011.
So where are the millennials getting all this money to fritter away on Chanel and Ipads? From their parents most likely, or by skimping on things like meals and long term saving plans, so they may never be able to retire but at at least they’ll own lots of nice things that they can tweet about and post pictures on Facebook.
I’m not going to lie, I am part of the 1980-2000 crew who likes to fritter away on a bit of luxury, and I must admit…it feels good. But I am nowhere near the shopoholic like the many millennials i know, here in London.
This lifestyle provides a strong visual representation “that either I’ve made it or I want to tell you I’ve made it.”

Nikon J1 Investment

My sister insisted that I need to invest in a good camera if i want to take "non-shitty" pictures. She already pushed me over the cliff to start blogging, and the one thing missing was a DSLR. I want to be the modern blogger who doesn't carry around a massive black DSLR round my neck that weighs a tonne. I wanted a camera that will be compactable and easy to carry around wherever I go, yet still take amazing pictures. I must admit; this camera have been in the ads every 1/2 hour on tv. I am not a technical person so why did i buy it? It looked cool and is a very good size. After taking a fair few of pictures, I knew I got myself a real winner and my sister STYLESLICKER couldn't agree more (which she has borrowed when she needs an SLR break).
The investment comes at a hefty £500 price tag, but i bought it when it was first released. Now you easily buy one for £300 at the cheapest.
